Join Frog Spot’s Naturalists on our daily guided tour along the Los Angeles River Bike Path launching from the Frog Spot. This is your chance to start exploring the hidden ecosystem that runs through the heart of Los Angeles and ties us all together.
5:00 PM | Alias Means
Alias is a funny specimen. Proud native of Silver Lake, California and equally at ease singing an Elvis tune at Ronnie Mack’s, a Stones karaoke in Little Tokyo, or a Lithuanian folksong in Vilnus. He can write, and man, he’s got an ear.
6:00 PM | Chikwood
Chikwood has been preaching the rock and soul Word in Los Angeles since 2010. They’re four musicians inspired by life, love, and getting the audience to feel it. Steady groove from drummer Danita Lynne locks down with heavy bass from Natalie, sandwiching red meat riffs of guitarist Dave right in the middle. HIgh Priestess Laine makes believers with her fiery song through the soul-power vocal. Bathe in the Word. Chikwood.
7:00 PM | Two Smokin’ Barrels
Two Smokin’ Barrels formed as members of various Los Angeles based bands began to focus on the music they grew up with twisted with a contemporary approach. The vocalists Ashley Kay and Owen Jenkins met while working in the band The Hollywood Blues Destroyers in 2014. Joined by the rhythm section of Garrett Lofgren and Kevin Chubirka who both played in rock bands in Texas since 2008, collectively they formed a folky rock and blues band.
