Friends of the Los Angeles River commends the US Army Corps of Engineers for selecting Alternative 20, the most comprehensive plan, from their LA River Ecosystem Restoration Feasibility Study. FoLAR congratulates Mayor Eric Garcetti for his deep commitment to the river in negotiating a 50/50 cost share ratio between the City of Los Angeles and the US Army Corps for this $1.08 Billion project. Los Angeles is grateful for strong support from the Obama Administration and both the America’s Great Outdoors Initiative and Urban Waters Federal Partnership.
