16 Oct River Community stands strong for ARBOR Study Alternative 20
The US Army Corps of Engineers public presentation and hearing of the Los Angeles River Ecosystem Restoration Integrated Feasibility Report took place on Thursday, October 17 at the LA River Center & Gardens.
The river community attended by the hundreds! The atrium was standing-room only, with more attendees watching screens in the gardens. Sixty-nine people gave public comment, and the meeting lasted 3 hours. An overwhelming majority of elected officials, environmental groups, and individual stakeholders supported the comprehensive plan of Alternative 20, although the US Army Corps of Engineers recommends a conservative plan of Alternative 13.
