17 May The last day to make your voice heard for the G2 Parcel at City Hall
The big vote that determines the fate of the G2 Parcel is coming up on May 19th but you have one more chance tomorrow to come down to LA City Hall and speak out! Last week we had a big victory when the Council’s Budget and Finance Committee set aside $40 Million for the G2 Parcel but we have to keep the pressure up to make sure it passes the full Council Vote.
The Council meeting starts tomorrow – May 18th – at 10:00 am in the John Ferraro Council Chamber of LA City Hall (200 North Spring Street Los Angeles, CA 90012). The G2 parcel is in agenda item 11.
Send your message at FoLAR.org/action and join us tomorrow at City Hall to rally for the River!
Go to FoLAR.org/action and call on the City Council to say YES to the G2 Parcel
Mayor Garcetti calls the G2 Parcel a “crown jewel in our plans to restore the Los Angeles River” and called for it’s purchase in his proposed 2016-17 budget for the purchase and remediation of the parcel. We must act now to ensure that the G2 Parcel is purchased by the City for the people.
Stand with Friends of the Los Angeles River to make your voice heard and call on the City Council to vote in favor of purchasing this key parcel of open space on the Los Angeles River and preserving the entire space for public use.
