20 Apr Thank You Upper River!
Last Saturday we kicked off the Great Los Angeles River CleanUp with a bang! An estimated 2,500+ volunteers pulled an estimated 15 tons of trash from four sites on the Upper River. There has never been a bigger opening weekend for the CleanUp – ever.
It’s not over yet! This Saturday – April 23rd – we have seven CleanUp sites on the Mid River and then on Saturday – April 30th – we have four more CleanUp sites on the Lower River. You didn’t think we’d stop in Glendale did you? We’re cleaning the LA River from Canoga Park to Long Beach!
Don’t get left out – join the River movement and sign-up today.
Sign-up for the Great LA River CleanUp
The first weekend is over but you can still volunteer on the Mid River – Sat 4/23 and the Lower River on Sat 4/30! El Niño swept through the watershed washing up months worth of trash into the channel. Join the LA River community, get your hands dirty, and know that your participation will significantly improve the health of our River and its wildlife.
