As a native of the San Fernando Valley, Alexa has always felt a deep connection to the diverse landscapes and communities that make up Los Angeles. She is a proud graduate of California State University Northridge (CSUN), where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Geography and Environmental Studies, with a Minor in Africana Studies. Her passion lies in promoting the Los Angeles River as an equitable open space accessible to all communities it traverses. Working alongside a passionate education team, Alexa finds immense satisfaction in knowing that we are making a positive impact in the communities of Los Angeles. When she’s not working, you can find her reading a book, playing with her cats, spending time with friends, or at a concert.
