Tomorrow is the Second Annual Los Angeles River Day! The Los Angeles City Council is bringing the entire LA River community together at City Hall to celebrate our River and to raise consciousness of the work we all do to restore and protect one of Los Angeles’s last great green spaces. LA River Day runs from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm at Los Angeles City Hall – 200 N Spring St, Los Angeles, CA 90012.

FoLAR at LA River Day
9:30 am | Lewis MacAdams Joins the Opening Ceremonies
In recognition of more than 30 years dedicated to protecting and restoring FoLAR President Lewis MacAdams has been invited to speak at the opening ceremonies held in the City Council Chambers.
Lewis will read a poem specially chosen to honor the event and take part in ceremonies honoring great River champions Councilmember Tom Labonge, Colonel Kimberly Colloton, and Dr. Josephine Axt.
9 am – 12 pm | The Los Angeles River Rover
The Los Angeles River Rover will be joining the crowds celebrating LA River Day at City Hall! Come on by, make a seed bomb, and learn about the River and what’s happening at FoLAR.
We’re out in the community regularly “Bringing the River to the People and the People to the River!”. Swing by our website and learn about future River Rover visits.

Hop to the Frog Spot
The Frog Spot is FoLAR’s summer oasis on the LA River bike path in Frogtown. Free to the public and featuring everything from River walks to yoga to live music. Open Sat 8 am – 8 pm & Sun 8 am – 6 pm. Learn more at TheFrogSpot.org Check out some highlights of this weekend below:
Saturday 6/6 – Live music by the band that rocked the FoLAR Fandango – Tone in Georgia playing with Vista Point, LA River Walks, Stella the Steelhead and beer + wine served after 2 pm.
