09 Jun Dive Into LA River Summer Sessions
When school’s out FoLAR is in.
Summer is River season – time for sun in the sun and to get to know the LA River’s past, present, and future. Our Summer Sessions are a chance for you to come make a connection with the River that ties Los Angeles together.
There are programs for everyone from kids who want to get their hands dirty in the river to grown-ups taking it easy at the Frog Spot. Check out our line up of summer programming below:
Sunday Explorations @ The Frog Spot
Join FoLAR’s education team for their weekly educational series at the Frog Spot. We will cover three monthly themes: the Past, Present and Future of the river, through June, July, and August, respectively. Each Sunday we will discuss a new topic related to the theme of that month. Following our discussion, join us for an activity down in the channel at 1 pm: beautifying, cleaning up, or taking a nature walk. Be sure to keep coming back each week for exciting, new topics and engaging activities!
Next up: This Sunday – 6/14 – learn about the Zanjas, the aqueducts that brought water from the LA River to the historic Pueblo de Los Angeles: Learn More
