26 Apr 8,000 Volunteers, 96 Tons of Trash – One Day Left to Make a Difference
Last week we told you 26 tons was just the beginning and we’re proud to say that after Day 2 of the Great LA River CleanUp our volunteers have come out in tremendous numbers. Nearly 8,000 Angelenos have now removed an estimated 96 tons of trash from our River! The best part is that there’s still one last weekend for you to get involved.

This is California – we lead the nation as environmental stewards – and the Great LA River CleanUp is no exception. Angelenos are committed to on-the-ground change and are coming out in numbers that are unheard of on any other River in America. You are the future of environmental action in America and you’re proving it at every CleanUp with every piece of trash of trash we clear out.
This Saturday (4/29) we’re in the lower River at four CleanUp sites from Compton Creek to the Pacific Ocean. Our impact is only as big as you make it, so please think globally, act locally, and sign up for the Great LA River CleanUp at FOLAR.org/cleanup.
Help us grow the CleanUp. Whether you register or not, your contribution can make this CleanUp and all the ones to come bigger, better, and cleaner! Consider making a $10, $25, or $50 contribution today at FOLAR.org/donate.
