Lizard Walk and Clay Art Workshop with Dr. Earyn McGee

Friends of the LA River is excited to partner with Dr. Earyn McGee for community members to join her for a fun day filled with art and nature. The first part of this Lizard Walk & Clay Art event includes a short hike where Dr. McGee will teach participants about lizard ecology and identification, while looking for lizards along the trails at DeForest Park. After the hike, supplies will be provided for participants to sculpt lizards out of clay. Dr. McGee will take your beautiful clay art pieces to fire them in her kiln after the event. You can pick up your art piece in Inglewood about two weeks after the event. An email will be sent to attendees with pickup instructions.
