Habitat Restoration Day
November 9, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Make a hands on and immediate impact on our local urban ecosystem by joining FoLAR in restoring habitat in the Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Refuge.
Come along on on a Bird Walk from 8-9 beforehand, then join at 9 to remove non-native plants as a part of a larger effort to improve the habitat in the Sepulveda Basin. We recommend you wear long pants, and close-toed shoes, since we’ll be in the vicinity of spiky plants.
FoLAR’s ongoing Bird Surveys continue to track the results of the Habitat Restoration efforts – we look forward to sharing our survey results with you!
This event is made possible in partnership with The Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy, Council for Watershed Health, California Native Plant Society, and San Fernando Valley Audubon Society.
