At River’s Edge – Urban Rewilding

Tune in to experience our vision for urban rewilding along the Glendale Narrows!
Join FoLAR for our second weekend of premiere content as we take a close look at the efforts underway to rewild the LA River in the verdant Glendale Narrows!
To start, FoLAR’s very own California-trained naturalist and our friends at the Audubon Center at Debs Park will visit Río de Los Angeles State Park to search for migratory birds and discuss the newly established 100 Acre Partnership at Taylor Yard. In collaboration with Mujeres de la Tierra, viewers will learn how to participate in a BioBlitz we’re launching along the River to enhance our understanding of the biodiversity of our urban ecosystem. Viewers will also hear from the Gabrieleno Tongva Tribe, the original caretakers of the Middle and Lower LA River, about the power and vitality of our River as a life-giving force.
