Location Specifics: The Golden Shore Wetlands are located on Golden Shore just south of Shoreline Drive in Long Beach.

Description: The Golden Shore Wetlands, officially the “Golden Shore Marine Reserve”, is a restored tidal wetland at the mouth of the River. The wetlands are frequented by shorebirds and other waterfowl.

DIRECTIONS:
Bike: Take the Lario bikeway (on the LA River and Rio Hondo from El Monte to the Pacific Ocean) to its downstream terminus. Alternately take the Long Beach beach bike path west through Shoreline Park and the Catalina Cruise Terminal.

Transit: Take the Metro Blue Line to the Long Beach Transit Mall Station. Walk south on Pine Avenue. Cross Shoreline Drive into Shoreline Park. Walk along the Shoreline Park bikeway/walkway, through the Catalina Cruise Terminal to the Golden Shore Wetlands.

Driving: Take the 710 Freeway south to its end. Exit at Golden Shore and go right on Golden Shore.

Parking: Parking at the adjacent parking lot (CleanUp day only).
