Location Specifics: The South East CleanUp site is along River Drive, between Gage Avenue and Florence Avenue in the City of Bell.

Description: The LA River in South East LA County is a large concrete channel. Alongside the river are some of the most population-dense communities in the nation. The LA River (including the South County LA River Bike Trail) is used by locals every day as an open space amenity, though it features very little greening. The character of the River in this area is beginning to change, with new tree-plantings and parks emerging.
DIRECTIONS:
Bike: Take the South County Los Angeles River Bike Trail (goes along the west side of the LA River from Atlantic Blvd in Vernon to Imperial Highway in Lynwood).
Transit: Take the Metro line 111 or Metro line 711 on Florence Avenue.
Driving: Exit the 710 Freeway at Florence Avenue. Go west on Florence. Turn right on River Drive.
Parking: Street parking on River Drive.
